For the final part of our Virtual Reality project, we will be putting them on display at the Maker Fare on December 3. Most likely will will have our project available to watch on cardboard so that people can see little demos. This would be a very productive way of displaying our projects because of how exciting and tedious the process of making this possible was. Hopefully we would be able to impress and even inspire others to see how the future could look with the use of VR. If we can get people;e to feel this way then we had done our jobs well. I think this will personally show my commitment to new ideas and ability to learn because of how new this idea of virtual reality is. Blog response English: This week we had learned the ideas of a philosopher named John Dewey. He had very unique ideas on how we view education and how it should be viewed. His ideas on education learned more on the student taking it upon themselves to learn things in a way that reflects who they are and how they want to learn. He is opposing the school's way of teaching because of how structured it is and how it makes students remember facts that kids are just expected to memorize, there is very little choice in how they can learn. This VR project follows the philosophy of Dewey in the sense that we had a lot of freedom to choose what we would want to contribute and how we wanted our final products to look. Blog response English: Today we watched a Ted Talk about motivation and how it can revolutionize the way we handle work in the business world and at school. It talked about how we use our own personal drive to get good at something we take pride in. Once a company tried something new, they had their employees have a more lax environment where they could feely work on whatever they want, how ever they want, with whoever they want. The result was amazing because of how much this practice had benefited the company in one day. The workers had come up with new products and made a lot of progress on projects that had. If we were to try this in a school environment then we would probably see something amazing happen. we woud be able to see more students take pride and have more passion in there school work and progress.
