The Angry Birds Projects was a project that required plenty of deep thinking, open mindedness, being able to build, and coaperatiom with team
mates. The objective of this project is to a launcher, projectile, and a structure that will be shot at by the launcher with the projectile, after
completion of the launcher, projectile, and structure will then put them in to a carnival like event were other people will use the launcher against
the structure. I made the Structure for the Angry Birds Project, it went as I expected. My structure was made to move, not breake. I say move
because It can bend and change instead of falling apart. My strucure can fall over if hit very well by the projectile. After the project we did a self
reflection, what I thought that I did well was stay consintrated on building and finnishing the structure, what I thought that I could impove on was
communicateing with my teammates because I spent my time building outide while the rest of my teammates were inside working on the
launcher.
Into The Wild:This project Is supposed to teach us (the students) a new repect for nature and the life inside of it. Durring this project we were ashigned to do many things that would prepare us for the trip at Anza Borego. The first mini project we did was building headlamps to aid us walking in the dark at night. The second mini project we did was makeing a working compass with our group members to give us a sense of direction on the camping trip. At the end of the Anza Borego trip we have to creat a Into The Wild journal explaining what we learned and what we saw on or off the camping trip.
HeadlampThis headlamp works because of the curcuit created for the flow of energy tword the LED lights that are smaller and take less energy to use. We created a circuit through the circuit board. The circuit board consists of positive and negitive wirls that need to be sodderd together so that it can creat a flow of energy.
Soda can stove:
We created soda can stoves as to be able to cook and heat out food that we have brought to camp that needs to be cooked or heated. We created these soda can stoves from discarded Soda cans. Tin was best for this because it is not a conductor of heat and and will not melt while cooking, It might get burned but they will not melt.
compass:
We created compasses so that we could get more in depth with magnetism and its effects on the Earth. There are two magnetic pulls, these magnetic pulls are from the Northern hemisphere to the Southern hemisphere. We did many experiments with magnets and very small Iron shavings that can reveal its current pull. My compass works because It has a base and a pin that can find the magnetic north.
Overall experience:
My favorite part of this project Is going to the Oasis in Anza Borego. I think that that this was the most interesting part of the trip because we drive into this very dry place with very little healthy plant life to a place with palm trees, waterfall, and plenty of life.
